Business Personal Property tax filing

Business Personal Property tax filing, built for the businesses without a tax department.

One asset list. Every county your business owes a return in. Alabama launches for the season opening October 2026; Colorado for Q1 2027.

The problem

Most Business Personal Property returns still start in a spreadsheet. Someone copies last year's asset list, adds the new purchases, guesses at a depreciation category, and mails a paper form to the county assessor. Run four locations across three counties and the work multiplies.

Alabama has 67 counties, and each sets its own terms. Mobile and Baldwin require electronic filing. Tuscaloosa joins them for 2026 under Act 2026-311. The rest still take paper. Working out which county wants what is half the job.

Colorado runs on paper too: form DS-056, with a declining-balance depreciation table for every asset category. Rendax's Colorado support arrives inQ1 2027.

What Rendax does

Data entry

Enter each asset once

Assets live in one list. Pick a category and Rendax will map it to the depreciation schedule the state publishes, so the math follows the asset rather than the form. If you already keep the list in a spreadsheet, ask and we will import it.

Output

E-file where the county requires it, PDF everywhere else

For the season opening October 2026, Rendax will submit through each county's electronic-filing channel where the county requires one — Mobile, Baldwin, and Tuscaloosa in Alabama — and print a completed return for the counties that still take paper. Colorado is paper-only statewide; the DS-056 lands in Q1 2027.

After you file

Amend and reprint any year

Every filing stays in your account. When an assessor sends a change notice in the spring, open last October's return, correct the asset, and regenerate the form. An amendment starts from what you filed rather than from a blank page.

Where we're launching

Alabama comes first: Rendax launches for the season that opensOctober 1, 2026, beginning with the three counties under an e-file mandate — Mobile, Baldwin, and Tuscaloosa, whose mandate takes effect this year under Act 2026-311. The remaining 64 counties are covered the same season on paper. SeeAlabama Business Personal Property filing for deadlines, county status, and what the mandate requires.

Colorado follows in Q1 2027 with the DS-056, depreciation included. Tell the waitlist which state matters to you; we'll email when it opens.

Tell us where you file.

We'll email you when Rendax opens in your state — Alabama for October 2026, Colorado for Q1 2027.
